RENEW (Respect, Educate, Nurture and Empower Women) was established in 2004 by Her Majesty the Queen to promote gender equality and to provide for disadvantaged girls and women.
One of the key factors keeping women in vulnerable situations is financial dependence and insecurity. Recognizing this, RENEW’s Livelihood programme aims to provide appropriate and sustainable skills trainings that lead to income generation and greater financial independence. The training opportunities are extended to other vulnerable key populations.
RENEW social enterprise is focusing on textile products that cater to both the domestic and international markets. The products are mostly handwoven on Horizontal Looms by our women and girls using Raw Silk Yarns. For special and high-end market Locally produced and Naturally Dyed Yarns are prioritized.
